I decided to start blogging in English, but still keep my old posts. Not for any particular reason, most of my poker playing friends are fluent in English anyway and almost all of the people who I’ve lately talked poker with don’t speak Estonian, so it might be better this way.

The grind has been real after last trip and results have been steady, above average. To avoid this post being completely futile, I will post a poker hand from last Vegas trip that left me stunned (“although poker hands, as a rule, are all futile” – some of you might say…)

The game was 1-3 in Mandalay Bay and as you can see from the replay, Lady Grinder (about my age) decided to fold her 3rd nuts to my river shove, although we had no history playing together. I had sat down 30 minutes earlier and was running all over the table. She showed me her holecards and said, “I’ve been playing this game for years now and made a lot of money. I just know I’m never good here.” How? Why? What kind of a game is this? Who are these people?! I was left stunned, told her it’s a good fold, promised to tell her later what I had. But I never had the chance – she stacked me in a huuuuge pot 30 minutes later when I pushed on the flop with my nut flush draw and her 2 pair held. What just happened? What trickery is this? I left quickly with bruised ego and that’s that. I just found this hand from my Sharemypair feed, it was hidden for some reason…
